Equiptment Used

Below displays all the equipment we used during our visit to MTV to both produce and edit our music video;

At MTV we used professional Sony HD cameras to capture our footage. These cameras were extremely useful as it meant we could zoom in and out as well as move around which allowed us to capture the type of shots and footage we needed to stick to our storyboard. The cameras were on dollys which meant we could maneuver them around to capture the shots we needed more freely and easily.
As well as the HD cameras we also used a Vision Mixer when shooting the video. This allowed us to cut shots frquently whilst viewing all four cameras at once which created a smoother cutting rate.

Our iMac was our most important peice of equipment that we used as it allowed to both edit our Music Video and create our Digipack and Advert. We edited our music video using a software called 'Final Cut Express' and we created and edited our Digipack and Advert using a different software called 'Photoshop'.

Two other vital parts of equipment we used were the Wester Digital 500GB HDD to store of footage on and a HP Printer with a built in scanner to scan a variety of images onto a memory stick so we could put them onto our blogs.

Lights were also a major part of our equipment as it allowed us to capture the exact brightness and to help set the mood of the video. Lastly we had a PA system in the studio which allowed us to play the track out loud in the studio so the band could play along to the song.
