Technology Used

IMac

- Allows us to import our documents and work
- has exclusive applications which are more helpful for our specific needs such as final cut, photoshop, go into detail..

Final Cut express

- Edit and structure our video clips into a music video
- import music/footage
- create bins (organise clips, easier to find)
- add transitions and effects, (cross fade, fades, dip to colour and black and white sepia effect)
- smooth cuts

Photoshop

- Import images as well as create blank documents where users can manipulate it to their specific needs for example creating a digipack shape and size
- remove unnecessary sections to a image through cropping and the magic wand which takes away sections of an image (colour)
-allowed us to add effects/filters for example, glowing edges, which is the effect/ filter we used on our digi-pack front and back covers. Also it allowed us to invert the images' colour which we used for the magazine advertisement.

Scanner

- Allows us to draw a physical image on paper and import it on the computers so that we can edit it on photoshop.

Vision Mixer

- Lined up shots and allowed select specific cameras (views)

Cameras

- Filming

- three cameras on tripods and one handheld

 Lighting

- Allowed us to make sections of the studio brighter or dimmer to preference.

Dafont

- Font we used (plane crash) used the font to create our logo

Blogger

- Plan and monitor our music video's performance, collecting the information in order to create it.
- blog our progress
- allows members of our group to be able to check where their group members have got up to

Youtube

- Used for statistics (views, likes, demographics)
- Research and plan for our music video (watching similar artists or genred music videos)
- Allowed us to upload our preliminary tasks, rough cuts and finished products to get feedback as well as being able to embed the video in our blog posts.

Google

- Searching for artists, digipacks, adverts etc (including images, story's etc)
- allowed us to check the weather, train times and the location of MTV studios using Google maps

Facebook

- Communications with other group members
- gain permission from band to used them and their song
- gain permission from MTV to used studio
- communicate with band members (keep them up to date)

- Questionnaire creator and feedback from other users
